Dr. McGrath is a Clinical Psychologist and an Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University. His extensive career has included being a clinician, researcher, administrator, and social entrepreneur. Patrick has now returned to his first love, working with clients. He has extensive experience with all forms of Anxiety, Depression, OCD, and PTSD. He works with clients who have health problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, and headaches. He uses a collaborative approach and brings the best science to bear on the challenges he helps people with. Client preferences and values are always at the center of his cognitive behavioral approach.

His research, his mentorship, and his health care leadership have been recognized by an appointment to the Order of Canada and election to the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. He has won the Manning Principal Award for Innovation and a Governor General’s Award for Innovation for his work with Strongest Families. He is the founder and CEO of a new startup, 90Second Health, which is developing a new way of delivering health information.
