Helen supports individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about how to move forward. She understands that beginning therapy can feel challenging, especially when experiences are difficult to put into words. Her aim is to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and understood.
Her clinical work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), with an integrative emphasis on mindfulness and nervous system regulation. She supports clients in developing insight into thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviours, while also building practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and behavioural change.
Helen works with adults experiencing anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, OCD, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, social anxiety, and death anxiety. Her focus is on helping clients better understand their internal experiences, identify patterns contributing to distress, and develop evidence-based strategies to support resilience, stability, and meaningful change.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a Master of Education in Psychological Counselling and is a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) and Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO). Her clinical training includes CBT, DBT, psychosomatic therapy including mindfulness-based interventions.
