Fatima is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) through CRPO, as well as one of our therapists under supervision at CMAP Health. She is interested in helping clients with depression, PTSD, Autism and ADHD. She has and continues to attend workshops and various educational programs to increase her knowledge in therapeutic modalities and skills.

Fatima has a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology with a concentration in Developmental Psychology from Carleton University from 2017 and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University from 2023. Prior to beginning her Master's, Fatima has worked in the ABA field for 5 years, working with youth and young adults with ASD and various other disabilities, both in private practices in Canada and overseas, as well as within the public school system.

When asked why she wanted to work at CMAP Health and what clients could expect from her, this was Fatima’s response:

Working in behaviour analysis has really drawn me to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, specifically because cognition has always been a fascination to me when seeing how it works alongside behaviour. Gaining knowledge within counselling psychology has also shown me that knowledge is power, and sharing this power among our clients can help them strive to have a better life, just as acquiring knowledge and consistent education can give me the tools to assist clients in the same manner. I intend to work closely with each client through nonjudgmental and empathetic listening, through curiosity and appreciation of their lived experiences, in hopes to overcome challenges. Fatima has completed her Level 2 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Training program with our schooling partner Unified CBT Academy. She is registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
