Breanne Lyng is one of our Registered Psychotherapists at CMAP Health. She has a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is certified in Level 2 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a therapy that is evidence-based in offering success with a range of anxiety and depressive disorders. Breanne is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CACBT).
Breanne offers Individual CBT Therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, including Social Anxiety, ADHD, Insomnia, Panic Disorder, Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and mood disorders. Breanne also specializes in grief, loss, and terminal illnesses.
When asked why she wanted to work with us at CMAP Health and what her patients could expect from her, this was Breanne’s response: "I am driven by my curiosity in the brain. I want to know everything about how it functions; what makes people act and react to different situations. Evidence-based methods of CBT help me answer these curiosities in a safe, non-judgmental, goal-oriented, and collaborative approach, tailoring each intervention to suit my patient's needs. Before coming to CMAP Health, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Ottawa, so I understand the importance of how change occurs from within and appreciate how challenging it can be at times. I applaud patients for their bravery in deciding to take that first step toward change. I am ready when they are.”
